Ivan Pshenichnikov was born in Moscow in 1998. In 2017 he Graduated from the Gnessin Moscow Special School of Music, the cello class. Ivan is currently a second-year student at the orchestra department of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music (professor Vladimir Tonkhi). He is a laureate of the VIII Savshinsky International Music Competition (Saint Petersburg, 2017), laureate of the international Semyon Matveyevich Kozolupov cello competition (Moscow, 2016), and laureate of the V International Music Competition in Stockholm (Sweden, 2016). Ivan was a participant of the 10th Karl Davidov International Competition for Cellists (Latvia, 2018), participant of the summer festival Musica Mundi (Belgium, 2015), as well as the Peter the Great Festival in 2013 (Prince Claus Conservatoire, the Netherlands), and the international festival in Saint Petersburg – The Imperial Gardens of Russia. The musician is a soloist for the cello trio of the Art line foundation, participant of children competitions and projects organized by the of Vladimir Spivakov and Lions international charity foundations.
