Esther Yang has been gaining acknowledgement around the world through various concerts and competitions across North America, Europe, and Asia. She is currently based in both the United States and South Korea, continuing to engage audiences with her expressive musicality. Esther has been awarded in numerous prestigious international competitions all around the world. She has been named a semifinalist in both the 2023 Premio Paganini Competition and the 2024 Windsor Festival International Competition. She also received 3rd prize at the Ysaÿe International Competition. Additionally, she won 1st prize at the Adelphi Orchestra Young Artist Competition and the Mary Smart Concerto Competition, 2nd prize at the New York International Music Competition, and special prizes at the Ilona Fehér International Violin Competition in Hungary and the Osaka International Music Competition in Japan. Esther, with recent performances in the 2023-2024 season alongside the Adelphi Orchestra given as a reward for winning the 1st prize, has collaborated with the Casco Phil, Seongnam Philharmonic Orchestra, Gimpo Philharmonic Orchestra, and Busan Philharmonic Orchestra. She earned her Bachelor of Music at the New England Conservatory of Music, studying with Soovin Kim and Paul Biss, and recently completed her master’s degree at The Juilliard School as a student of Joseph Lin. She is currently studying at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel as an artist in residence under the tutelage of Augustin Dumay.
