Musician supported by the City Music Foundation, artist-in-residence of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, member of the Frankfurt Ensemble "Modern Academy" and the London Contemporary Soloists, French violinist Emmanuel Coppey is building a solid career. As a soloist, he collaborated with Jérémie Rhorer, Vahan Mardirossian, Rachel Podger, Alexei Ogrintchouk, Guy van Waas, Christopher Warren-Green, and appeared on the Belgian National Television, the Royal Christmas concert programme, while playing the Four Seasons by Vivaldi. A sought-after chamber musician, Emmanuel played with Nelson Goerner, Augustin Dumay, Nicolas Baldeyrou, François Salque, Guillaume Bellom, Martin Beaver, Bertrand Chamayou, and Frank Braley in major European chamber music festivals. His repertoire ranges from baroque to contemporary music, and includes all Bach Sonatas and Partitas with which he won the Barbash J. S. Bach Competition 2023. As an arranger, he also wrote a show-piece based on The Sorcerer's Apprentice by Dukas. Emmanuel received the guidance of violinists György Pauk and Augustin Dumay. Emmanuel graduated from the Royal Academy of Music and the Paris Conservatory (CNSMD) where he studied with Philippe Graffin and Svetlin Roussev. His musical journey began with Larissa Kolos. Emmanuel was supported by the Royal Academy of Music, Adami Collective, Fondation de la Vocation and the Fondation Banque Populaire. Since July 2024, Emmanuel has been an artist-in-residence at the Singer-Polignac Fondation. He plays on beautiful 1735 Guarneri, generously loaned by the Guttman Collection.
