Yinan Zhao is a DMA student at the Department of Orchestral Instruments of the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, and studies under the guidance of prof. Ti Zhang. He began studying violin at the age of four and was later, in 2008, instructed by prof. Da Su. In 2011, he was admitted to the Middle School of the Central Conservatory of Music, where he studied with prof. Wei Xue and prof. Jia Zhang. Since 2016, he has been studying with prof. Ti Zhang. In 2016, he participated in the Mozarteum Summer Academy masterclasses. In 2019, he won 2nd prize at the IV Chamber Music Competition of the Central Conservatory of Music and the Pearl River–Caesar Scholarship Competition. During his studies, he was admitted to the Seiji Ozawa Music Academy. In 2021, he was recommended to become a graduate student of the Central Conservatory of Music. In 2023, he received 1st prize and the Ysaÿe Prize at the International Ysaÿe Music Competition.
