The soprano Anna Farysej was born in Szczecin, Poland. In 2006, she began to take voice lessons at the Szczecin Public Secondary Music School. In 2011, she completed her BA studies at the Academy of Music in Poznań, where she studied under Jerzy Mechlinski. After graduating, she continued her studies at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague under Maria Acda. Anna was accepted by both Boston Conservatory and Manhattan School of Music, and she obtained her MA degree in New York, studying first under Catherine Malfitano, and then under Mignon Dunn. She currently studies under Diana Soviero (New York) and Eugenia Rozlach (Warsaw Conservatory). During her studies, she has participated in master-classes led by Diana Soviero, Teresa Żylis-Gara, Eva Blahová, Anita Garanča, Renato Bruson, Chuck Hudson, and others. In 2015, Anna sang the role of Antonia in Jacques Offenbach's opera "Les Contes d’Hoffmann", collaborating with Vocal Productions NYC. She also performed the title role with the same company in Piotr Tchaikovsky's opera "Iolanthe" in 2014. The previous season, Anna created the roles of Elena ("Paride ed Elena") and Gretel ("Hänsel und Gretel"). She has also performed in the opera festival winners' concert in the prestigious Carnegie Hall.
