The mezzo-soprano Jiujie Jin started her career when she was 16 years old, in a high school attached to the Central Conservatory of Music. The Central Conservatory of Music accepted her for its BA/MA programme without the usual examination, due to her high scores and excellent performances. Moreover, she graduated one year earlier than usual. She has sung leading roles in China, Russia, Germany and the USA. They include Amneris ("Aida"), Carmen ("Carmen") and Larina ("Eugene Onegin"). Jiujie Jin has performed with different orchestras and famous conductors, such as the China Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival Symphony Orchestra, and the Moscow P. Tchaikovsky Conservatory Symphony Orchestra. She has given recitals in the main cities of China, Germany, Poland, Austria and Russia. She also won awards in the International Gut Immling Competition, the "Mondial Chinese" Vocalist Competition, the International Hong Kong Youth Music Festival, and the China National Youth Art Competition.
