The soprano Anastassiya Kozhukharova was born in Almaty, Kazakhstan. She graduated from the class of Associate Professor Snezhana Brinyuk at the Kazakh National Conservatory. She also studied as an exchange student in the class of Professor Yadviga Rappe at Warsaw's Frederic Chopin University of Music. She was awarded first prize at the VII International Alfredo Giacomotti Singing Competition in Italy. She also won third prize in the VII International Shizuoka Opera Competition. Anastassiya performs not only in Kazakhstan, but also in Russia, Italy, Luxembourg, Austria, Germany, Bulgaria, South Korea and Japan. Her repertoire includes Clorinda ("La Cenerentola"), Violetta ("La Traviata"), Hanna Glawari ("Die Lustige Witwe"), The Queen of the Night ("Die Zauberflöte"), Donna Anna ("Don Giovanni") and Lucia ("Lucia di Lammermoor"). She is currently an artist with the Abai Kazakh State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, and the Mahler Philharmonic Society in Vienna.
