Adam Koch have started playing violin at the age of 5, and he began his studies with prof. Serguei Azizian in 2013. In the following years he received prizes in many national and international competitions, and began his studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Music at the age of 16. After studies in Copenhagen with professors Serguei Azizian, Eszter Haffner and guest professor Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider, Adam now studies at the Hanns Eisler University of Music Berlin with prof. Kolja Blacher. Adam is prize winner of such competitions as Tibor Varga International Violin Competition (2019), Brahms Competition in Pörtschach (2020), and W. A. Mozart Competition in Salzburg (2020). He also attended masterclasses with Leonidas Kavakos, Mihaela Martin, Ana Chumachenko, Pinchas Zukerman, and Gerhard Schulz, among the others. Adam Koch has performed as soloist with Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, Leopoldinum String Orchestra and the others. Apart from Adam’s ambitions, interest in contemporary music, and commitment to the composers’ scores, Adam attended conducting classes at the Malko Academy from 2019 to 2021, in association with Danish National Symphony, where he took part in masterclasses with maestro Herbert Blomstedt. Being a frequent guest at several chamber music festivals, since 2023 Adam himself has been a co-director of the Oremandsgaard Chamber Music Festival.
