Sophi Rochlin, a violinist from Israel, began her musical journey at the age of five, studying with Ms. Elena Mazor. Currently, she is pursuing master's degree at the Hanns Eisler University of Music Berlin, under the guidance of prof. Ulf Wallin. Prior to this, Sophi completed her Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Performance at the Folkwang University of the Arts studying with prof. Boris Garlitsky. Throughout her studies and career, Sophi has had the opportunity to perform at various prestigious festivals and other events, including the Keshet Eilon Mastercourse in Israel, the Allegra Festival in Sofia, Elba Isola Musicale d'Europa, the Dvořákova Praha Festival, and the Geneva International String Academy, among the others. She also participated in specialized programs organized by the Jerusalem Music Center from a young age. Sophi has been fortunate to share the stage with renowned musicians, such as Boris Garlitsky, Vadim Gluzman, Dmitry Sitkovetsky, Sergey Ostrovsky, Peter Bruns and many more, performing in concert halls across Israel, also in Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Bulgaria and elsewhere. She has also attended masterclasses with Leonidas Kavakos, Miriam Fried, Ilya Kaler, Dora Schwarzberg, Zakhar Bron, learning from their vast experience. Chamber music is an important part of Sophi’s musical life, and she is actively involved in Villa Musica and Musethica activities. In 2018, she was honored with a special prize at the Vladimir Spivakov Violin Competition. Sophi currently plays on a 1751 violin by Sanctus Seraphin, kindly provided by Villa Musica.
