Arthur Daems started playing the cello at age 4 with the Suzuki method. At the age of 7 he started to study with Steven Caeyers. In 2015, Arthur was admitted as a Young Talent in prof. Didier Poskin’s cello class at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels. In 2020, he obtained his Master degree (Marie Hallynck). Currently, Arthur is pursuing another Master degree at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki (Martti Rousi, Andreas Brantelid). Arthur is a winner of the International Young Talent Music Competition (2017, 2nd prize), the International Edmond Baert Competition (2018, 1st prize), the Musiq3 festival (2019, 1st prize). He took part in master classes with Hélène Dautry, Guillaume Martigné, Jérome Pernoo, Peter Bruns, Pieter Wispelwey, etc.
