Timothy Hopkins (*1995) is a German/American cellist. Solo and chamber music performances have brought him to Italy, Spain, Portugal, South Korea, Belgium, Austria, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and the USA. He earned his Bachelor degree from the University of Music and Theatre Leipzig (Peter Bruns) and Master degree at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music Berlin (Troels Svane). He received additional insights working with artists such as Steven Isserlis, Wen-Sinn Yang, Sergio Azzolini, Antoine Tamestit, Wolfgang Boettcher, Antje Weithaas, Eberhardt Feltz, and Heime Müller. In 2022, his CD “Salute to the Violin” was released by Prospero Classical, which highlights some of his violin arrangements for the cello.
