Yige Chen's first violin teachers were Ms. Yang Xinhua and Mr. Liu Shenghua. In 2012, Chen was admitted to the Middle School of the Central Conservatory of Music. Since then, he has been studying under the tutelage of prof. Xiao Liu. He is currently pursuing his master's degree at the Central Conservatory of Music. In 2022, he was the 1st prize winner of the VI International Leonid Kogan Competition for Young Violinists in Belgium. He also won 1st prize at the International Music Competition Bonn "Grand Prize Virtuoso" in 2020, and in 2023, he won the Golden Bell Award at the XIV China Music "Golden Bell Award" Violin Competition. In 2024, he won the 2nd prize of the XXXI International Andrea Postacchini Violin Competition. At the age of 15, he won the 1st prize at the Violin Competition of the Central Conservatory of Music. Since then, he has received awards and high praise from music the industry and audiences. He has won numerous prizes at the III International Schoenfield Violin Competition, the XXV International Andrea Postacchini Violin Competition, the III China Central Television CCTV Violin Competition, and the XI “Wenhua Cup” Violin Competition in China. In 2021, he was selected for the prestigious International Paganini Violin Competition in Italy, where he reached the semifinals. In 2020, he was invited as a solo performer by the XXIII Beijing International Music Festival and won the Nestle Cup "Young Musician Award".
