The dramatic coloratura soprano Burcu Hanci was born in Ankara, Turkey. She has recently performed in an Opera Gala concert with Rengin Gökmen and the Koda Orchestra in Izmir. She has sung the part of Marianne in "Der Rosenkavalier" in the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Hall under the baton of Sascha Goetzel. Burcu performed in the 2017 New Year Gala in Istanbul together with the Bosphorus Sinfonietta. In 2016, she visited Lithuania, where she made her debut in the Lithuanian National Philharmonic Hall. In 2017, she reached the finals in the Siemens Opera Contest in Istanbul and the National Young Soloist Voice Competition (Professional Category) in Izmir. This year, Burcu will participate in a performance of Heitor Villa-Lobos' "Bachianas Brazilieras" No. 5, and in 2018 she will sing Alban Berg's "Sieben Frühe Lieder" with the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic.
