Xirui Mi was born in Shanghai, in 2011. He is a young Chinese pianist known for his brilliant artistry and deep musical sensibility. He embarked on his piano journey at the age of 5 and made his debut at 6. In the same year, Xirui began participating in various all-national, international, and regional competitions, consistently earning many of prizes. His international competition debut was at his 6th years, in Singapore (Singapore International Youth Piano Competition), where he secured the 1st prize. In the age of 7, he got second award at the International Young Pianist Competition in Japan. From 2020 to 2023, he studied as a junior student with prof. Jinjin Lu (Music Middle School Affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music), and also studied at the Shanghai International Studies University SHW Experimental Middle School. In this 3 years period, Xirui several times was honored 1st prize at the "Shanghai Young Musicians" and "Shanghai students" art competitions. Now Xirui just moved to Zurich for half a year, following pianist Yilan Zhao.
