Christian-Peter Hiemstra is a 13-year-old British pianist. Admitted to the London Royal College of Music at the age of 9, he is studying piano under the Thai-British composer and pianist Prach Boondiskulchok. He gave his first performance with full orchestra, the Bedford Sinfonia, at the age of 12 playing Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor. He is a laureate of several national and international competitions, including the RCM Marjory Humby Competition, the Rotary Young Musician, the Bedfordshire Festival, Kronberg International Piano Competition (Germany) and Neuchatel Val de Travers Competition (Switzerland). He was awarded the Royal College of Music May Edwards Prize as the most promising junior pianist in 2022.
