Carla Lipuscek, age 13, studies violin with Jiyoon Lee, the first concertmaster of the Staatskapelle Berlin. She began playing violin at the age of 3 under the guidance of Tamara Prishepenko, and has been studying with her to this day. Carla gave her first solo performance with chamber orchestra at the age of 5 and has won top prizes at numerous national and international competitions since then. As a soloist, she has performed with orchestras and chamber ensembles several times since the age of 6. She has won the 1st prize at the German National Competition in 2016, 2019, and 2022. She has also won 1st prizes at the national competitions for chamber music in 2020, 2021, and 2023. As a soloist Carla won the 1st and special prize at the Josef Micka Violin Competition in Prague, the 2nd prize at the "LegeArtis" International Competition in Lech, the 2nd prize at the "Lvivskii virtuoz" International Competition in Lviv, and the 4th prize at the International Competition "Talents for Europe" in Dolny Kubin. She has also participated at masterclasses with Natalia Prishepenko at the International Music Academy for Soloists and at the Summer Academy Mühldorf. In 2023, she performed with the international orchestra "Orchestre des Lycées Français du Monde" in Vienna, at the Austrian Funkhaus, and, in 2024, she will perform with the same orchestra in Brussels, at the Palais des Beaux Arts (BOZAR / PSK).
