Benas Jonušas studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA), in the organ class of prof. Renata Marcinkutė-Lesieur. Since the age of 6 he has been playing the piano, studied at the M. K. Čiurlionis National School of Arts with teachers E. Jurkevičiūtė-Navickienė and E. Žarskus, and from the ninth grade he switched to composition and moved to the class of prof. Rytis Mažulis. The last two years of his studies were completed at Chetham's School of Music in Manchester, in the classes of Jeremy Pike and Ian Stephens. He studied at the Mozarteum University of Salzburg under the Erasmus exchange programme, in the class of prof. Hannfried Lucke, and also took part in masterclasses in the Netherlands, Italy, Austria and Liechtenstein, which were conducted by Theo Jellema, Dan Lonnqvist, Angelo Castaldo, Maciej Zakrzewski, Aapo Häkkinen and Matthias Maierhofer.

Jonušas has given organ concerts in Vilnius, in the churches of the St. Casimir, the Sts. Peter and Paul, the Saviour (Joanites), and the St. Mary's. He also performed in the J. Karosas Hall (LMTA), the Salzburg Cathedral and in the Mozarteum Solitär Hall. Therefore, he performs playing harpsichord and piano, studied clavichord with prof. F. Birsak-Hayer at the Mozarteum University.
