Simonas Miknius started playing piano since he was 7 years old. In 2022, he graduated from the Kaunas J. Gruodis Conservatory, where he studied in the M. Bazaras class, and has started his studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in the same year.

Simonas is a laureate of many international piano competitions. The main highlights include: 2nd prize and special prize for the best Mazurka performance in the International F. Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth (Szafarnia, Poland; 2015); grand prix in the competition Music without borders (Druskininkai, Lithuania; 2015); 3rd prize in the César Franck Piano Competition (Brussels, Belgium; 2016); grand prix in the competition Палески агеньчык (Drahichyn, Belarus; 2018); 1st prize in the Competition-Festival Dedicated to Aldona Dvarionaitė (Zarasai, Lithuania; 2018); 3rd prize in the Ricard Viñes Competition For Children and Youth (Lleida, Spain; 2019); grand prix in the L. Beethoven Piano Competition (Klaipėda, Lithuania; 2021); 1st prize in the competition La Note Celeste (Paris, France; 2021). In the 2022, Simonas became a finalist and received special prize for the best performance of Stasys Vainiūnas' works and concert in the International Stasys Vainiūnas Piano and Chamber Ensemble Competition in Vilnius.

Simonas has performed with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, St. Christopher's Chamber Orchestra, Kaunas Symphony Orchestra, Vytautas Magnus University Chamber Orchestra, Belarusian National Symphony Orchestra and both Lviv and Warsaw Chamber Orchestras.
