Born and raised in Daejeon, South Korea, Haerim Oh started playing violin when she was four. Acclaimed for her brilliant and passionate playing, Ms. Oh won various awards and prizes, such as special prizes for the Excellent Performance of Virtuoso Pieces and Finalist Award at the Munetsugu Angel Violin Competition in 2015, Special prize at the Ysaÿe International Music Competition in 2022, and 1st prize at the Ewha Music Competition in 2017 and at the New England Conservatory Concerto Competition in 2021-2022. As a soloist she has performed with various orchestras worldwide, including the Bucheon Symphony Orchestra, National Orchestra of Teleradio Moldova, Central Aichi Symphony Orchestra, and the New England Conservatory Symphony Orchestra. She was also selected to perform a solo recital at the Seoul Kumho Art Hall in 2012, and has participated in numerous festivals and concert series, such as the Ravinia Steans Institute of Music 2023-2024, VIII Emirates International Peace Music Festival, Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival, and the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival throughout the past decade. As a young, blooming musician, Ms. Oh has been actively participating in various international violin competitions, such as the Queen Elisabeth Competition, Isang Yun International Violin Competition, Elmar Oliveira International Violin Competition, and the Tchaikovsky International Violin Competition for Young Musicians.
